Beautiful Experience, Super Relaxing Spa!

Jen C on May 25, 2025

“I loved my stay here” is a whole understatement! I live in MA, went to Jamaica in May so it was a perfect time for some warmer weather. I went with my best friend and we first stayed in a first floor room, then being upgraded because our tub didn’t work. Few other minor issues, but it was no big deal at all especially after all the assistance and help we got! It totally was a wonderful 4th floor ocean view upgrade! Rooms was clean, no bugs, room service was slow but the food wasn’t the best either. The buffet that takes place in the “world cafe” in the morning is where it’s at!!! The Jamaican Blue Mountain restaurant was my favorite, curried goat is one of my new fave dishes. I have one thing I want to let people know, the employees are underpaid (meaning like $2.50 an hour rate) and tips are NOT “included”. It is a shame that the traveling agencies/resorts tell you 20% gratuity is included with your total vacation when it is not at all. If you’re a kind human and want to share your overflow with these amazing people who are attending to you frequently, bring some cash. I recommend to bring cash anyways, I found it much easier bringing 400-500$ in cash and I am a generous person. May I note, I did get 100000/10 service the whole time I was there. Andre, Martin, and JB (the water sports guy to go to— sailing is SO fun). There’s also these 2 awesome men who come around with jerk chicken and the other chops the top off coconuts for you to drink/eat, pineapple, and sugarcane. SO GOOOOOD. Now for the spa…. WOW. You HAVE TO get a massage and spend time in the water circuit. There’s a “check in special” for treatments, be sure to ask about that upon arrival! Just like any other resort or hotel, you’re looking at around $200 give or take depending on your treatment service. However, that water circuit is worth it lemme tell ya. I had Latifa the first time, wonderful! And then the second time I went, I had Naomi who was exceptional! She was extremely attentive to my sore muscles and was so nice, kind, and made me feel comfortable. It was a pleasure to have her and talk to her a bit! For excursions, my friend and I did the bamboo raft. This is where we learned more about the culture and got a limestone foot massage. It was so cool! One of the nights we went out to the Pelican (bomb food) and the club 21? 27? I forgot but it was so amazing to have a dispensary attached to the night club. That’s where we found some good smoke! Loved the little pop up shops too the few times I had seen them. Got some nice art :) There’s a coffee shop as well, I enjoyed spiking my espresso coffee blacks in the morning with some Frangelico and Kahlua ;) Something to mention— let’s remember people, we are in Jamaica. The resort is run by owners who take their workers for granted and under pay them, but because these workers are getting essentially some of the best employment for themselves in this country— they radiate either happiness and gratitude. I know us Americans wouldn’t do half of what they do or put up with to provide a beautiful experience for y’all. Be grateful and respectful. Safe to say, I cannot wait to visit Jamaica again!

SO much fun I didn’t want to leave!

michellegH9122BK on May 23, 2025

Chose this resort based on piano bar and it was so much fun, only criticism is I wanted it to last longer! Same with karaoke night, everyone was having so much fun. We appreciate he stayed later and wish he could’ve stayed even longer. Loved the food at Italian and French restaurants. Breakfast buffet had so many options and lattes at the coffee cafe were delicious and they had options for adding alcohol to them. Nice gift shops. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We went diving and snorkeling and to the bioluminescent bay. Everything was easy to schedule (though I tried scheduling dive in advance and they said they’d write my name down and no one had anything down so we pushed it back a day). Trapeze show was really cool. This time of year wasn’t busy so never was a wait for restaurants. We had such a wonderful time. So much fun!

Going back Again.

Yavonna M on May 22, 2025

Nice resort. Pools are all nice. People are nice. Experience was great and the live entertainment made the resort even better. I just wish I knew more of everything there to take better advantage of all the resort had to offer. I know better next time.

Awful - food poisoning

V3541LBmicheller (York, United Kingdom) on May 21, 2025

Awful resort, food poisoning outbreak amongst many guests ruined 8 out of 10 days of our holiday to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. My husband was in hospital for 6 days in Jamaica and is still poorly a week after return and unable to work. No one has contacted us on return despite false promises. Really let down by a brand that I thought we could trust. No trips, no souvenirs, no entertainment, didn’t get to step foot on the beach or enjoy the many restaurants. Waste of lots of money, two weeks annual leave and now unpaid sick. Also a really traumatic experience for us both.
