Unsatisfactory Resort

This has been, without question, the most disappointing and underwhelming resort experience I’ve ever encountered. While the views and rooms are visually impressive, the overall stay is completely overshadowed by the resort’s shockingly poor service and apathetic staff. From the outset, the hospitality has been unacceptable. Staff members consistently displayed a dismissive and indifferent attitude when taking orders, refilling drinks, or responding to simple requests such as condiments. At one point, we requested additional beers, only to receive them 15 minutes later after reminding the waiter twice. This delay wasn’t due to high volume; the restaurant was practically empty, and the server was standing idly by. This pattern of negligence extended across every restaurant on the property. Orders were taken slowly, meals arrived with frustrating delays, and the lack of attentiveness disrupted the dining experience altogether. It’s a consistent trend that’s well documented in other guest reviews that this resort is plagued by a systemic issue of poor hospitality and abysmal customer service. To make matters worse, the hotel damaged my uncle’s luggage. We explained that the bag was intact from the airport to the shuttle, and that it was handled with care. Upon arrival, all luggage was lined up in a stable position on the driveway before being moved into storage. However, by the time it was delivered to his room, one of the wheels was completely broken. Instead of taking responsibility, the hotel insisted on a three-day “investigation” to determine liability which is the same entire length of our three day trip. This response is not only dismissive but reflects a complete lack of urgency, integrity, and accountability. For a resort operating under the Hyatt name, I expected professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy. Unfortunately, the reality is a stunning lack of all three. A beautiful location and well-appointed room mean very little when every interaction with staff leaves you frustrated and disrespected. Hospitality should be the heart of any luxury resort but here, it’s glaringly absent. Rooms: 3/5 | Service: 1/5 | Location: 3/5 Rooms The rooms were poorly maintenance. The trash bins didn’t have trash bags in them ready, the floor had paint that was chipped all over the floor, and the ceiling where the water sprinklers are had chipped paint that caused the dirty floor. They didn’t clean it well to prepare for our stay.

Our stay was very pleasant experience with great team of Hyatt. We have had a special requirement for food due to allergies of my family. Manger Carlos with chef Manuel Leonardo, hostesses Vanessa, Cielo, Yuridia and Kimberley and waiters: Gabriel,Noe, Avenamar, Jesus were able to help us in fulfilling all our needs! I want to thank you for their hospitality ??????

Reviews for Dreams Vista: Food- mediocre. Mexican- blah, steak house- AWFUL! , Buffet- good, Preferred Restaurant- excellent. Italian- the best Room service- okay Snack- blah- Drinks- amazing!!! Views- great unless you are looking at the swamp- yes a real swamp with crocodiles (and we saw the swamp a lot) It's different to be so close to the city. Not remote or secluded at all The hotel runs sideways- it's odd and hard to get used to. One long building so no gorgeous gardens or anything. Golf course is SUPER expensive and can't use coupons there. They tell you how you have to spend your coupons to reach $200- so only $20 could go to spa. Coupons are a joke here Hard to get reservations for all of us bc you can only make reservations for the people in your room and have to use app. Thank God I made friends with a worker. He helped To get all 14 to hibachi they made us buy 2 bottles of wine ($160 minimum) we refused so 6 of us didn't get hibachi. Lots and lots of wind tunnels- elevators, outside grill, … Pool chairs in the water are cool, but also a huge hassle- things blowing into the water, little table for things- Staff- super friendly!!! Helpful when they could be Spa- AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! 5 stars! Make sure you negotiate the price. We all paid something different Towels- always easy to get Some of us got turn down service at night, some of us didn’t- we were all preferred (they even got chocolates on their pillow each night) Water sports- great!!!! Tokens to BLUE WATER and so friendly!! Let us swim- free with tip! Rooms- wonderful! No complaints Roof top pool- blah- hot, a lot covered! No air circulation. Very small! Not worth the price (some loved it bc they burn and it was very shaded) Night life is pretty much non existent. We tried but so lame Yoga by the ocean was cool. Yoga instructor was a wack and followed everywhere for next 2 days- always telling us what we need to do to be healthy- we didn’t ask (she was a paid guest) The ferry they advertise is a joke- they drop you off at the mall for 2 hours!! Yes a mall ( in the city) - you wear a wrist band so everyone knows you’re a tourist. We said no thanks. The staff did a very poor job of telling us anything. They didn’t tell us what we get, where anything was, all they said was get the app. Not helpful. We figured everything out ourselves WiFi- great

Stayed at this resort with my 2 teenage daughters for the second time and we have zero complaints! The food was delicious! Best Birria tacos we have ever had from Vista tacos and the best salmon from the Asian restaurant. We also went to the spa for massages and Elizabeth did an amazing job! We will be back next year for sure!
Do not waste your money on Dreams Vista.

Do not visit this resort. It’s not authentic to Mexican standards or flavor. The workers seem miserable and they will not accommodate to your requests. We highly recommend spending your hard earned money to other known and respected resorts in the area. Food was awful, drinks were mediocre and service was not consistent.
